On-Premises Environment<\/b><\/h3>\n

Use Case: For reading an on-prem AD and syncing directly to Exchange on-prem mailboxes we will need following<\/b><\/p>\n

In this scenario the following service account setup is required:<\/span><\/p>\n

Service Account Requirements<\/b><\/h4>\n

To read an on-prem AD and sync directly to Exchange on-prem mailboxes, we will need the following:<\/p>\n

    \n
  • An on-prem service account<\/strong>\n
      \n
    • Must have access to the on-prem AD (this account will be used to run CiraSync On-Prem services and read the on-prem AD).<\/li>\n
    • Must be a member of the Local Administrators<\/strong> group on the server where the software will be installed.<\/li>\n
    • Must have \u00ab\u00a0Log on as a service\u00a0\u00bb rights on the server where the software will be installed.<\/li>\n
    • Must be mail-enabled<\/strong> \u2013 this account will store the majority of the CiraSync On-Prem UCM software configuration, including licenses.<\/li>\n
    • Must be able to receive mail from the internet (required for licensing).<\/li>\n
    • Must have the Application Impersonation<\/strong> role (App Impersonation is still supported in on-prem environments). This role allows the account to open targeted user mailboxes and write the necessary synchronization data (contacts, calendars, etc.).<\/li>\n
