Following are permissions used for accessing Azure AD:<\/span><\/p>\n<h4><b>Graph API Permissions Required<\/b><\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Read directory data<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Read user profiles<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Access organization directory<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Please note that set up in this environment does not need a dedicated on-prem user. System account will be used to start CiraSync On-Prem services and CiraSync On-Prem server Admin user to access UCM Admin application. Additional role based users can be added using UCM Admin Security configuration. We have two options for authenticating access to targeted user mailboxes:<\/span><\/p>\n<h4 data-start=\"73\" data-end=\"105\"><strong data-start=\"77\" data-end=\"103\">Authentication Method<\/strong><\/h4>\n<ol data-start=\"107\" data-end=\"807\">\n<li data-start=\"242\" data-end=\"807\">\n<p data-start=\"245\" data-end=\"283\"><strong data-start=\"245\" data-end=\"281\">Certificate-Based Authentication<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul data-start=\"287\" data-end=\"807\">\n<li data-start=\"287\" data-end=\"405\">A certificate can be created using the tool available in <strong data-start=\"346\" data-end=\"363\">CiraSync On-Prem Admin<\/strong> and set with a desired expiration date.<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"409\" data-end=\"476\"><strong data-start=\"411\" data-end=\"436\">Global Admin approval<\/strong> is required for certificate creation.<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"480\" data-end=\"668\"><strong data-start=\"482\" data-end=\"506\">Certificate Overview<\/strong>: <a href=\"https:\/\/csop.cirasync.com\/es\/support\/certificate-based-authorization-with-csop-ucm\/\" target=\"_new\" rel=\"noopener\" data-start=\"508\" data-end=\"666\">https:\/\/csop.cirasync.com\/support\/certificate-based-authorization-with-csop-ucm\/<\/a><\/li>\n<li data-start=\"672\" data-end=\"807\">With this option, after the initial setup, the <strong data-start=\"721\" data-end=\"750\">Application Impersonation<\/strong> role can be removed from the <strong data-start=\"780\" data-end=\"804\">O365 service account<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h4 data-start=\"809\" data-end=\"862\"><strong data-start=\"813\" data-end=\"860\">Alternative Setup Without a Service Account<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p data-start=\"863\" data-end=\"1109\">If you do not want to use a <strong data-start=\"891\" data-end=\"910\">service account<\/strong>, you can create an account with <strong data-start=\"943\" data-end=\"958\">local admin<\/strong> privileges on the server.
