A <\/span>Contact Collection<\/b> is a group of user mailboxes from the <\/span>Global Address List (GAL)<\/b> that can be created using CiraSync On Premise. Contact Collections enable users to organize mailboxes for various CiraSync On Premise functions, such as defining sync sources and targets, auto-licensing user mailboxes, scheduling syncs, and removing obsolete contacts. The following steps outline how to create a Contact Collection in CiraSync On Premise.<\/span><\/p>\n

Instructions<\/span><\/h2>\n

1. Launch<\/b> CiraSync On Premise.<\/span><\/p>\n

2. Open the Collections Menu<\/b> by clicking <\/span>Collections<\/b> in the quick-access toolbar at the top of the page.<\/span><\/p>\n

3. Create a New Contact Collection<\/b> by clicking the <\/span>+<\/b> button in the <\/span>Collections Menu<\/b> at the top of the page. This will open the <\/span>Collection Properties<\/b> window.<\/span><\/p>\n

4. Name the Contact Collection<\/b> in the Name<\/b> field within the Collection Properties<\/b> window.<\/p>\n

5. Search for Users or Groups<\/b> by entering the desired name in the <\/span>search bar<\/b> under the <\/span>Global Address List (GAL)<\/b>.<\/span><\/p>\n

6. Add Users or Groups<\/b> to the collection by dragging and dropping them into the Inclusion List<\/b>. Repeat this step as needed until all required users or groups are added.<\/p>\n

7. Confirm and Close the Collection Properties Window<\/b> by clicking <\/span>Save.<\/b><\/p>\n

8. Create Additional Collections (Optional)<\/b> by repeating steps <\/span>3\u20137<\/b> to set up a second Contact Collection for future CiraSync On-Prem procedures.<\/span><\/p>\n

A Contact Collection is a group made up of user mailboxes in the GAL that can be created using itrezzo. Contact Collections allow CiraSync On-Prem users to group user mailboxes together to use for a variety of CiraSync On-Prem functions such as defining sync sources and targets, auto-licensing user mailboxes, setting up a sync schedule, and cleaning obsolete contacts from user mailboxes. The following procedure shows how to create a Contact Collection with itrezzo.<\/p>

Instructions<\/h2>
  1. Launch CiraSync On-Prem UCM. [box type=\"info\"] NOTE: <\/strong>During the first launch of CiraSync On-Prem UCM, a pop-up will appear. Click Cancel.\u00a0<\/strong>[\/box]<\/li>
  2. Click Collections<\/strong> in the quick-access toolbar at the top of the page. [box type=\"info\"] NOTE: <\/strong>You can also expand Data Dictionary<\/strong> in the left navigation panel and click Collections<\/strong>. [\/box]<\/li>
  3. Click the + <\/strong>in the Collections Menu at the top of the page to begin creating a new Contact Collection. (See figure below.) \"\"The Collection properties <\/strong>Window will open. (See figure below.) \"\"<\/li>
  4. Name the Contact Collection in the Name\u00a0<\/strong>field. [box type=\"info\"] NOTE: <\/strong>When naming contact lists and collections, please be specific. Having specific names will make the organization of your assets and scheduling sync tasks easier.[\/box]<\/li>
  5. Search for the desired individual or group using the search bar under Global Address List<\/strong>.<\/li>
  6. Drag and drop the desired individual or group into the Inclusion<\/strong> list.<\/strong> Repeat Steps 5 & 6 <\/strong>until all desired users\/groups are added. [box type=\"info\"] NOTE: <\/strong>You can also double click the name of the user or group to add them to the collection. Alternatively, clicking the name of the user or group and click the green arrow pointing to the Inclusion list<\/strong> will add them to the collection.[\/box]<\/li>
  7. Click The Collection properties<\/strong> window will close. (See figure below.) \"\"<\/li>
